procrastination tools

it seems that everyone in the blog-o-sphere is posting "light posting warnings" (perhaps that's why I'm posting a bit more, just to make up for it, be a bit different. oh, and I'm unemployed...) so I thought I'd post a few links for those working too hard to make up for the imminent "vacation" which will be less so because one is working too hard now and will then again do so afterwards...

Ruth has alerted me to this awesome site, which one must check out to experience its coolness. why is it mesmerizing? I don't know. just go there.

and as I have a new phone now (see pic) of course (it's been almost three months! of course I have a new phone! plus look how thin and small!) I was looking for ringtones (the phone's stock ones ranged from obnoxious "classical" music takeoffs to backbeat nightmares) I found this site, which is, like the one above, fascinating.

Have fun!

ohmygosh this phone is fantabulously ecstatically too cool. it's got that slimmer than slim look of the nano(!) mixed with that candy-bar-phone-i've-always-been looking-for style that i'm entirely too far behind the curve to ever get. rebecca, I am envious.

you want a taste? I can hook you up... :) heh heh. your envy is noted, and acknowledged as entirely reasonable. Sam can discuss the comparison to the nano, as he is the proud owner of one of those now as well (of course--did you expect any less?)...

my true fantasy is one of those japanese phones--candybar like this one but a little narrower in width. It's the mannerist aesthetic (narrow fingers, long necks) I think I'm enamoured with.

So...it's not as small as a nano, bu it really is both incredibly small and amazingly well-built--solid and stury like an iPod while still tiny. It's an impressive phone, particularly since it's not very expensive. Let me know Tarn - I can bring one over to the states for you.
